Who am I?

A big nerd with a passion for people.

My name's Ted: I grew up in the North-West of England in the 90's and eventually found myself living in Oxford trying desperately to be a full time musician. To subsidise this, I got a job in corporate energy that turned into a 6 year career there.

Along the way I fell in and out of love of work a few times. I absolutely love getting stuck into the culture of a team, but often found I didn't have enough of a connection with what I was doing to feel fulfilled.

Luckily enough, I came across a role in an emerging HR tech company called Reward Gateway; so I packed my bags and moved to London to experience everything it had to offer.

What proceeded was a 7 year career across multiple businesses supporting organisations with employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture, I worked across Sales and Marketing at these businesses (you can check out my LinkedIn page HERE if you'd like to know more) the one thing each experience shared was these businesses were purpose driven - and I LOVED it!

I enjoy building things. Processes, systems, pages, coaching... my roles have taken me all the way from social media and video work to the nitty gritty of enterprise B2B sales, and having worked with some of the biggest brands out there, I felt it was time to try something different.

In 2023, I decided to spread my wings and leave the world of a single employer, and instead enter the world of freelance contracting and portfolio work. This allows me to work across multiple businesses at a time on interesting growth projects as they happen, bringing my knowledge and experience to teams that might not have the budget for that kind of headcount but desperately need it.
